Love goes heartbreakingly wrong for this Wyoming cowgirl when her "almost fiancé" dumps her to marry a little redheaded gal he met by chance just a few short weeks ago at the Wild Horse Saloon in Casper, Wyoming. Jane Porter's world spins out of control as she tries to come to terms with the blow that Mike Farley has delivered to her heart by taking another woman as "Mrs. Mike Farley" when Jane has dreamed of that title belonging to her ever since she was a young teenager. When the beautiful Samantha Jo runs away from her hasty marriage to Mike, Jane has a second chance at her dream of becoming Mike's wife. Does she dare give her love a second chance?

Find out in Kristie Leigh Maguire's Second Chances: Love Lost, Love Found. Set in rural Wyoming, Second Chances is a sweet contemporary western romance that will warm your heart.

One reader stated, "I read it through in an evening, and felt as if I had spent that evening with 'salt of the earth' folk." Another reader said, "I loved the double, no triple, second chance. It was a very sweet ending."

The author, Kristie Leigh Maguire, got the inspiration for Second Chances: Love Lost, Love Found from an ad in the classified section of a newspaper and her imagination took over from there. The ad read: "Free wedding dress. Worn only once by mistake."

From the Author

Second Chances is a western romance and my first new release in a few years. It is available in paperback, e-book, and Kindle versions. My past romance books have been hot and sizzling. I am taking a different path by going in a "sweeter" direction, romantically speaking, with Second Chances.

My editor said, "This is without a doubt the very best writing I have ever seen you do. I sat here trying to figure out why this was so much better than your other books. I finally see why. You really succeeded in getting inside your characters' heads and you make the reader care about THEM more than about what they did. Keep on keeping on. It's working."

I hope you enjoyed reading Second Chances as much as I enjoyed writing it. I would appreciate it if you would recommend it to your fellow book lovers.

Psychological Mystery

Blinny Platt's life story has been one filled with longings and betrayal, a legacy that unfolds with all the complexities of a conspiracy. Even as a small girl, she should have known, connected the whispers and snippets, but never did - Not until her secretive step-mother tossed a cache of poems on her lap, exposing lonesome words that break the heart.

After years of internal angst, Blinny suddenly feels compelled to leave her father's ranch to buy land and build a home herself. In her few restful moments, she finds the image of her mother lingering in the acres around her, in the toast-browns of the prairie grasses, in the colors beneath the browns, in the hint of deep green lingering at the base of seemingly dead grass - the promise of life to come. Maman would always be part of the landscape - first thin and graceful, then cumbersome with child, then wistful and wan, then gone, leaving behind an emptiness she had not prepared Blinny for. The mystery left in the ashes of a burned home unravels slowly, until finally, Blinny learns of the last betrayal, and the truth of why the Platt family fractured.
