In the Mood by Ellen Fisher

Jude Patterson is a sexy but shy romance novelist who discovers the flowery language he's always used in historical love scenes doesn't translate well to contemporary romances. Alyssa Stone is a beautiful fan who offers to help him learn to write better love scenes.

Jude is fascinated by Alyssa, whose confident and sensual demeanor conceals a very vulnerable interior. Before long, he's the one showing her how to write love scenes... and maybe even how to write happy endings.

In the Mood is available for your Kindle for only 99 cents.

About Ellen Fisher: (visit her online)

I'm an author of romance who writes, or tries to, around plenty of distractions. I have four kids ranging from five to fourteen, and two young and energetic Australian shepherds (see the above photo) named Big Blue Hero and Electric Blue Impulse.

I've been writing since fourth grade, and produced my first romance (which thankfully was never published) in college, when I should have been writing term papers instead of fiction. My first book (a colonial Virginia romance entitled The Light in the Darkness) was published by Bantam in 1998. A few years later, I started writing ebooks. Overall, I've published thirteen novels and novellas, ranging from historicals to sci-fi romance to contemporaries.

In late 2006, my husband (affectionately known as Vulcan Husband) was diagnosed with lung cancer, and passed away a scant four months later, having barely survived to his fortieth birthday. Not long after that, I developed Crohn's disease, and suffered with its symptoms for most of a year before it was diagnosed. I went on sabbatical for a while and lost my literary agent in the process. I also spent much of a year finding a house closer to our extended family and moving (and packing up a house when you've lived in it for twelve years is not a short process!). All this had an adverse effect on my writing, so I quit writing professionally for quite a while.

But the itch to write never goes away. So, after a break of several years... I'm back.

Chasing Eliot Ness by Michelle Regan

Eliot Ness has a lot more on his mind than just getting Al Capone in this romantic thriller that takes place in and around Chicago during the 1930s. In this fictional story, Ness demonstrates just how persistent he can be when he wants something and is willing to do anything to get it.

The story is told from the point of view of the young, beautiful, but very naïve heroine, Grace Kinney, who feels compelled to document what happened during those times of raids, Tommy guns and Al Capone just in case she needs to use it against the not so untouchable Eliot Ness.

The reader is put into the middle of the action right away as Grace describes meeting two very dangerous men on the same day - the devastatingly charming and wickedly handsome Persian gangster, Hassan Adeeni, and the young, good looking, blue-eyed prohibition agent, Eliot Ness. She is soon thrust into a world for which she is hopelessly unprepared and finds herself up against two very different men, each of whom vow to protect her, with different ideas in mind for her welfare. Who can she trust?

This is Eliot Ness as never seen before. A man determined to do the job he has been paid to do and clean up the corruption of Chicago during the Capone era. But also a man with inner demons. A married man who cannot seem to keep away from a beautiful woman who doesn't know what she wants or to which world she belongs. The fictional Ness becomes part of a romantic love triangle as he does everything within the law to possess the woman he wants and get her away from the gangster she grows to love.

This book is also available in Kindle edition.

Michelle Regan is a professional writer and has had several short stories published. Chasing Eliot Ness is her first novel. She self published it because she wanted something in print. Next to the birth of her two children, the day the book came to the door was the happiest day of her life.

She got bored with the romance books that were out there. Too many rules to follow. She has never been one for rules, they have no place in art of any form. She looks at writing, any writing, as an art form. And she likes breaking rules. Especially those she had no hand in setting up in the first place.

She writes non fiction for money, mostly ghostwriting. She has been doing this for several years, writing cheap articles for cheap people at a rate of about 10,000 words a day. She still had time to write a 574 page book. And the sequel to the book, still in progress.

Feel free to visit her website at http://chasingeliotness.com/ if you want to get in touch with her. She has contact information there and is happy to hear from anyone.

DESERT HEAT

Marcie Treyhorne has followed her husband, Steve, from city to city throughout the years they've been married. She's used to making swift adjustments to new homes, new jobs, and new bosses. But she never had a boss like Jim before! Can it be time for the Treyhornes to test their theoretically "open" marriage? Time to admit a third person, and form an intimate circle?

That's just what happens, and in some respects it turns out wonderfully. But it also turns complicated, in ways none of the trio anticipated.

Kristie Leigh Maguire doesn't make the mistake of substituting sex for plot and characterization. She generates enough heat to melt your glasses while you're reading, but not at the expense of featuring believable characters and telling a darn good story. Don't miss this one if ultra-sensual romance is your cup of tea.

CABIN FEVER

Marcie Treyhorne, heroine of DESERT HEAT, has been through many moves during her long marriage to Steve, whose job requires that. Always before she's adjusted and coped. But this is the first time she's left a lover behind, and it's almost more than she can handle.

Steve knows all about Jim, Marcie's lover, because admitting him as a third party in their open marriage was Steve's idea. Marcie's sadness as she tries to settle in at their new home in the mountains, though, goes beyond anything Steve expected. How can he help her get over missing Jim?

Once again the Treyhornes' bedroom action fairly scorches the pages, but this time we readers are in for more than a tale of unconventional romance. As we pass through a turning point in Marcie's life with her, the questions she asks herself seem eerily familiar.

Enjoyable resolution to what really does turn out to be the second half of a two-part tale.
